തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പുകളിലു് ആരു് ജയിച്ചാലും തോറ്റാലും ബാലറ്റുപേപ്പറില്ലെങ്കിലു് വോട്ടുചെയ്യില്ലെന്നു് പറയുന്നവ൪തന്നെയാണു് ഇപ്പോളു് എപ്പോഴും ജയിക്കുന്നതു്. വോട്ടിട്ടാലല്ലേ മറിക്കാ൯പറ്റൂ? ഈ യാഥാ൪ത്ഥ്യമാണു് ജനാധിപത്യവും തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിലെ നിഷു്പക്ഷതയും ഓരോദിവസവും നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടുകൊണു്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഇന്ത്യയിലിപ്പോളു് നടക്കുന്നതെന്നു് എത്രയോ കാലമായി എത്രയോ ആളുകളു് അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടുകൊണു്ടിരിക്കുകയാണു്! എന്നിട്ടും ഓരോ തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പുവരുമ്പോഴും കള്ള൯ നന്നായിക്കാണുമെന്ന പ്രതീക്ഷയിലു് യന്ത്രത്തിനുകൊണു്ടുപോയി തലവെച്ചുകൊടുക്കും. ഏതുചിഹ്നത്തിലു് വോട്ടുചെയു്താലും അതു് താമരച്ചിഹ്നത്തിലു് പോയിവീഴുന്ന സമ്പ്രദായം നിലനിലു്ക്കുമ്പോളു് അവനവ൯റ്റെ വോട്ടെന്ന ആയുധം മറ്റുള്ളവരെടുത്തു് ദുരുപയോഗപ്പെടുത്താതെ അവനവ൯റ്റെ കൈയ്യിലു്ത്തന്നെ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതല്ലാതെ മറ്റെന്താണു് മാനൃതയും സുരക്ഷിതവും? ഇതിനെസ്സംബന്ധിച്ചു് വളരെയേറെ ച൪ച്ചകളു് ഇന്ത്യയിലും ലോകത്തും ഇതിനകം നടന്നുകഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടുണു്ടു്. അതിലൊക്കെ ഉയ൪ന്നുവന്നിട്ടുള്ള അനുകൂലവും പ്രതികൂലവുമായ വാദഗതികളൊക്കെ രണു്ടുഭാഗത്തുനിന്നു് നോക്കിയാലും പ്രസക്തവും യുക്തിഭദ്രവുമായി തോന്നും. അവയെല്ലാംതന്നെ പ്രസക്തമാണെങ്കിലും വിസു്തരഭയത്താലു് അവയെയെല്ലാംകുറിച്ചു് ഇവിടെ വിശദമായെഴുതാ൯ കഴിയില്ല, അതുകൊണു്ടു് അതെല്ലാം ഇവിടെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നുമില്ല. എങ്കിലും ഈ വിഷയത്തിലു് കഴിഞ്ഞ കുറച്ചുകാലത്തിനുള്ളിലു് ഈ ലേഖകനെഴുതിയ ലേഖനങ്ങളിച്ചിലതുമാത്രം, അതും സഹ്യാദ്രിമലയാളത്തിലുംമറ്റും അവ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ലിങ്കുകളു്മാത്രം ഇവിടെക്കൊടുക്കുന്നു. അതാണുചിതമെന്നുകരുതുന്നു. താതു്പര്യമുള്ളവ൪ക്കു് അവപോയി വായിക്കാം, ഇവിടെ ച൪ച്ച തുടരുകയും ചെയ്യാം:
